What you are buying — and what money cannot buy

These are architectural constraints, not policy promises. They are enforced in code and covered by release-blocking tests.

What a campaign gets you

  • One sponsored card in the Home Feed, inserted at a fixed position after ranking.
  • Targeting by one civic region, which you choose.
  • Your image, your headline, your text and your https link.
  • Your organisation name shown as the sponsor, on every impression.
  • Aggregate delivery reporting: impressions, clicks and click-through rate.

What no amount of money can buy

  • Any ranking influence over civic content — a sponsored card is never scored.
  • Behavioural, demographic, interest, political or lookalike targeting.
  • Any citizen-level data: no user, device, session or advertising identifiers exist.
  • Verification, a badge, civic standing, or faster review of anything.
  • Placement in News, Civic Pulse, Consultations, Search or Notifications.

How it works

  1. Create a business account

    Sign in with your business email, then create a commercial advertiser account with your legal name, address and VAT details. A commercial account carries no civic capabilities.

  2. Build the campaign

    Upload an image, write your headline and text, add your https destination, pick the region and the dates. You see a live preview of the card exactly as citizens will see it.

  3. Confirm the price

    The price is calculated by us from your dates — €14.99 net per inclusive calendar day, plus 19% VAT. Confirming freezes those terms; a later price change never repriced a confirmed campaign.

  4. Pay by bank transfer

    We issue an invoice with a payment reference. You transfer the amount from your own bank. Nothing is charged automatically and no card details are ever handled here.

  5. Human review, then delivery

    Your creative is screened like any other content and then reviewed by a person. Approval plus confirmed payment plus a valid date window is what makes a campaign eligible to serve.

Things we would rather tell you now

  • Reporting is aggregate only. Daily figures below a privacy threshold are withheld rather than estimated, so a small region may report nothing at all.
  • Approval is not payment, and payment is not approval. A campaign serves only when both are done and the dates are live.
  • Citizens with the ad-free plan never see sponsored cards. That is enforced on our servers, not in the app.
  • The sponsored slot can be switched off platform-wide at any time. Issued campaigns and paid invoices are unaffected.
